Hi friends,
This week, my coworkers (and the internet) have been preoccupied by the Suez Canal. Here’s what the kids think, here’s an improv guide to getting the boat unstuck, and here’s the Suez sea shanty you didn’t ask for. In other news, I learned about Virginia Sole-Smith’s work on pandemic and wellness culture, climate change affecting olive oil production (and also I recommend the fresh-pressed olive oil club, even though the website looks absurd), and I appreciated Austin Kleon’s responses to 7 questions no one asked him.
Also, I needed a pep talk this week featuring Erin Bahadur’s words: “You are enough. There is no goal that you could ever achieve that will convince you that you are enough. If you don't already believe it before you get there, you still won't once you do.” The most joyful thing I saw this week was Kelly Clarkson laughing about Gwyneth Paltrow saying WAP.
