4/11 yoga
Hi friends,
The Amanda Gorman coverage has pretty much entirely been inspiring and thought-provoking, and Doreen St. Félix recently profiled her for Vogue. And all this warm weather has the news talking about the “hot vaxx summer,” and Virginia Sole-Smith and Rebecca Onion remind us to think carefully about how we talk about food and exercise on social media, with a phrase I love about “thinking about the body as an instrument, not an ornament.” And if you’re having trouble securing a vaccine in MA, these tips might help, though soon we can just go to New Hampshire!
Also, I’m following @thethtar_thet to learn more about how to help in Myanmar, and on related mutual aid news, I love seeing how others are reimagining giving circles (and you can join mine here, where we’re currently raising money for newsletter reader Abby’s Ozone House, a nonprofit org in Ann Arbor, Michigan that provides wraparound services to runaway, LGBTQ, and at-risk youth).
See you on the mat!
